Do you report my purchases to the government?

For most transactions, Pinehurst Coins does not report your precious metals purchase details with the government. However, Pinehurst Coins has a reporting obligation when cash or related cash payments surpass $10,000 within a 24-hour period. Read more here.  

What forms of payments are accepted?

We accept BitCoin, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, PayPal, Bank Wire, Personal Check and Money Orders (some restrictions may apply).  

Can you hold an item until I am able to purchase it?

We are unable to hold or reserve items without payment in full.

What are your requirements for a wire purchase?

Wire purchases require a 10% credit card authorization to hold the order.  Please visit our Payment Methods page for more information.

Do you charge sales tax?

We are not required to collect sales tax on any purchases from outside of North Carolina. All purchases from within North Carolina will be subject to the North Carolina Sales Tax.  Please visit our Payment Methods page for more information.

How will I know if my order went through?

After placing your order, you will be redirected to a page confirming your order has been received. You will then receive an order confirmation email with your order number, payment details, shipping information, and a list of items ordered.

When will my item ship?

In most cases, with the execption of “Presale” items, your order will ship within 5 business days, however, due to insurance reasons not all inventory is stored at our facility and additional shipping times may occur.

Will you hold my order for shipment at a later date?

We cannot guarantee your order can be held. Please contact us for assistance.

Where do we ship and how much does shipping cost?

We offer free shipping for all orders within the United States. We do not ship outside of the United States of America. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Would you combine my orders into one shipment?

We will do our best to combine orders when it is possible, however, we recommend that multiple items should be placed in one cart for check out.

Do I need to set up an account?

No, you may check out as a guest, however, we do encourage you to create an account so that you have a record of your orders.

How do I set up an account?

Click the “sign up” link on the right-hand side of the header (where the logo is located). Complete and submit the form to create a new account and access all of the features of our website.

What if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, click the “Forgot Your Password” link on the Login and Create an Account Page to reset it.

How do I sign up for your newsletter?

Simply type your email into the “Newsletter” sign up field at the bottom of our website, click submit, and you will receive regular emails that highlight deals and featured items.

Is OGP and COA included?

All items pictured and described in the listing will be included with your purchase. OGP and COA are only included if shown and described.

Can you send me an image of the exact coin I will get?

We are unable to supply images of exact coins unless the listing notes otherwise. All coins are authenticated and quality controlled before leaving our facility.

Will you handpick a specific certification number?

Due to high volume of items available, we are unable to handpick coins or guarantee specific serial numbers.

Does this coin have marks or toning?

All item images unless otherwise specified are just representations of what you will recieve. Some BU coins develop spotting or toning. Toning or marks will be indicated in select listing titles if present.

Can I return my coin?

All bullion items are final sale. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact Pinehurst Coins for assistance. All non-bullion items can be returned and/or exchanged if you call us within three (3) days of delivery of your order. Returns or exchanges must remain in their original packaging. Items removed from the original packaging cannot be returned. Shipping and handling charges will not be refunded. All returns and exchanges are subject to a 5% restocking fee. Can I cancel my order?

We cannot guarantee your cancel request. Once an order has been picked, we are no longer able to pull the package and stop the order from leaving our facility. All canceled orders are subject to market risk due to “locked-in” pricing, as described in our Price Confirmation Section. All cancellations are subject to a $35.00 (USD) cancellation fee plus any market loss incurred pursuant to our Market Fluctuation Policy. Market gains, if any, on cancellations will remain the property of Pinehurst Coins. All cancellation fees and losses pursuant to our Market Fluctuation Policy must be paid by credit card at this time. No future orders will be permitted until these fees are paid.

Can I exchange an item?

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us for assistance.

Can I change an order once its placed?

Typically, once an order is placed, it can only be canceled and cannot be altered.
