Description
After the “War to End All Wars,” the public longed for a more tranquil existence. To commemorate the conflict, the U.S. Mint created the Peace Silver Dollars from 1921-1928 & 1934-1935. The obverse design features a gracious Lady Liberty in a flowing gown wearing a radiant crown, while the reverse side shows an eagle perched on a rock with the word “Peace” inscribed above it.
