The State of New Jersey mandates Pinehurst Coins to collect general excise taxes on certain items sold by Pinehurst Coins and shipped to a New Jersey address.

Sales taxes in New Jersey are calculated at checkout on the Pinehurst Coins website based on  (1) the taxation status of items vended by Pinehurst Coins in New Jersey as delineated earlier, and (2) Investment coins with a market value less than $1,000 (3)  the particular tax rates set by the taxing jurisdiction at the delivery location in New Jersey.

  • Investments Coins. Numismatic coins made from metals such as gold, silver, platinum, or even non-precious metals

Pinehurst Coins began collecting sales taxes in New Jersey on May 1, 2024.  Our sales tax license number in New Jersey is 800-197-860/000.

If you operate as a New Jersey-based reseller and intend to submit a Reseller Certificate to Pinehurst Coins, please get in touch with us at [email protected]. After we’ve received your filled-out Reseller Certificate, we’ll input it into our system. As long as your Reseller Certificate remains valid and active, you will not incur any sales taxes on future orders.
